The Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme honours Professor Wang Gungwu, former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, for his distinguished 17-year tenure. This programme aims to nurture the next generation of scholars and policymakers exploring the nexus of big-power relations and its impact on Southeast Asia. It is open to post-doctoral researchers and mid-career policymakers.

Participants of the Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme will receive the following benefits:
- Monthly Stipend: Includes a housing subsidy for the duration of the fellowship at ISEAS.
- Travel Support: Round-trip economy airfare between the participant's home country and Singapore.
- Meeting Opportunity: Fellows will be invited to meet Professor Wang Gungwu during their fellowship, where possible.
- Facilities Access:
- Office space
- Computer equipment and IT services
- ISEAS Library and other facilities, as appropriate
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a post-doctoral researcher or a mid-career policymaker.
- Mid-career policymakers without a Ph.D. or equivalent degree are welcome to apply, provided their CV/Resume demonstrates appropriate professional experience and research interest.

- The Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellows Programme offers successful applicants a fixed monthly stipend (inclusive of a housing subsidy) for the duration of their fellowship at ISEAS and round-trip economy airfare between their home country and Singapore.
