The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Postdoc.Mobility Fellowships are now open for applications. These fellowships are designed for researchers who have completed their doctorate and wish to conduct a research stay abroad.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Academic Requirements:

  • A completed doctorate (PhD, MD-PhD) or completed medical studies in human, dental, veterinary, social, or preventive medicine with a doctorate (MD).
  • Alternatively, completion of the doctorate within the next 6 months.

• Submission Timeline:

  • Submission up to 3 years after the doctoral exam (PhD, MD-PhD).
  • For medical researchers without MD-PhD: submission up to 8 years after the state examination and at least 3 years of clinical activity after the state examination.

• Nationality and Residency:

  • Swiss nationality, or holder of a Swiss permanent settlement permit (C-permit).
  • Married to a Swiss national or cohabiting with a Swiss national in a registered partnership.
  • The C-permit should either be valid at the submission deadline or have expired no more than 6 months before the submission deadline.

• Non-Swiss Applicants:

  • Applicants who are not Swiss nationals or do not meet the above residency criteria may still be eligible if:
    • They are conducting or have conducted their doctoral studies (PhD, MD) at a Swiss higher education institution.
    • They obtained their state examination in Switzerland.
    • They had not held a postdoctoral position abroad prior to the submission deadline.
