The DAAD German Academic Exchange Service is now accepting applications for the Hilde Domin Scholarship Programme 2026/2027. This programme provides an opportunity for students and doctoral candidates at risk to pursue their education or research in Germany.
π About the Programme
The Hilde Domin Programme, administered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funding from the Federal Foreign Office (AA), aims to support students and doctoral candidates who are at risk of being formally or de facto denied educational or other rights in their home countries. This scholarship enables them to begin or complete their studies or research at a higher education institution in Germany.

The scholarship provides comprehensive funding, including:
- Monthly Scholarship Payments:
- 992 EUR for masterβs students.
- 1,300 EUR for doctoral candidates.
- Health, Accident, and Personal Liability Insurance coverage.

- Participation in a preparatory German language course (2, 4, or 6 months) based on the required language skills for the intended course of study or doctoral project.

β Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be pursuing a masterβs degree or a doctoral degree in any discipline (except medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, and law).
- Provide credible evidence of threats to personal well-being or safety (e.g., violence, arrest, denial of rights).
- Must not already reside in Germany or the EU at the time of nomination.
- Hold valid educational certificates recognized by the anabin database.
